ABOUT US
Under All is the Land
Our History
For more than 240 years it's all been about ownership of the land called home...
Whether it's land, a commercial building, a house or a condo – property ownership is as much a part of the American dream as freedom. Almost everyone has the desire to 'own something.' And, those that are property owners well understand that property rights are vital to protecting ownership. It's that passion for property and property rights that brought three generations of Luckeys to a career in Real Estate.
More than 65 years ago in Atlanta, Georgia Milton Luckey, a successful attorney with a burgeoning practice, began helping more and more clients with their real estate transactions. What began as an added service quickly became a significant part of his business.
A generation later his son, J.M. Luckey, after a decade of experience in corporate America, decided to follow the same path by establishing a real estate development firm.
Eventually Milton's grandson, Jim Luckey, started on his own journey that evolved from college to a 10-year military career as an Air Force officer. He then worked as a manufacturer's agent for home improvement products, setting up new stores with retailers such as Home Depot, Eagle, Lowes and Fred Meyer. Later, he joined an international real estate brokerage firm in the Seattle area. But, soon Jim began to envision a better way to serve his clients…providing customized solutions without being locked into 'how it's always been done.' So, in March 2002 he established Luckey and Associates based in Kirkland, WA.
While each Luckey began a divergent career – all three found their way to a full-time commitment to real estate in their mid-30s. And, each generation brought the passion and experience that came before them to the industry changes and advancements that lay ahead of them.
We Exceed Expectations
In 1913, the National Association of Realtors said it this way:
"Under all is the land. Upon its wise utilization and widely allocated ownership depend the survival and growth of free institutions and of our civilization. Realtors® should recognize that the interest of the nation and its citizens require the highest and best use of the land and the widest distribution of land ownership. They require the creation of adequate housing, the building of functioning cities, the development of productive industries and farms, and the preservation of a healthful environment."
We do this because we care…because we really believe in peoples' dreams and right to own property. The best compliment a client could give us would be to say "Luckey & Associates not only achieved our objective, they understood us well enough to exceed it."
The Luckey and Associates Difference
Everyone at Luckey & Associates is in the industry because there's nothing else we'd rather do. In fact, every associate works full-time. That means we're focused solely on providing the best service possible to our clients...every day. This is our profession not an avocation. Anything less would not allow us to truly meet your real estate needs. We believe in excellence and we believe that excellence is a 24/7 commitment.
Part of that commitment involves being aware of what's on the horizon. Our involvement with local, regional and national politics allows us to represent you towards the future and help you plan for the unknown. Plus, our networking with industry leaders means you get the benefit of easy and direct access to pertinent information nearly impossible to get from larger companies.
Still, it's not just about what we know…it's what we discover. And, for us it all starts with the questions we ask. Certainly our varied, extensive experience allows us to create a win-win scenario for you. But, we ask the right questions to make sure we understand your challenges BEFORE we offer a solution.
